Baby Becomes Izzy!

December 13th, 2011
Baby Becomes Izzy!

Well so much has happened since Baby became a new member of our family.

Baby has had her name change to Izzy which she responds to really well, she has been converted to Harrisons pellets and she is confident in exploring the rest of the house with Ozzy.

The best bit of news is that Izzy and Ozzy have become friends! I was worried at first that Ozzy may be jealous of our new arrival but I had little to worry about as they accepted each other very quickly and were even sharing each others cages and food.

They are very good company for each other and chatter most of the day. Izzy is still having a few problems with her flying techniques but I’m sure with Ozzy showing off his flying skills this won’t last for long!

Well thats all for now.

Next time I will post some photos of them both.

Britney Moves To Her Forever Home.

Britney Moves To Her Forever Home.

After being wih me for a week, Britney has moved to her forever home.

She has gone to Glynn and Karen, AGPC forum members where she will have some feathered company in the shape of Marley.

Britney seemed to bond with Karen on sight, which was lovely for them both, I could tell Karen and Glynn fell for her immediately – let’s hope Marley feels the same !!

I left them all very happy and looking forward to setting up her cage with new toys and perches.

She is one lucky girl. I will hand the blog over to Glynn and Karen who will update regularly

Joey Finds His Perfect Forever Home.

Joey Finds His Perfect Forever Home.

Well I am sad to say that Joey has now moved on from our foster house to his new forever home with a lovely lady Wendy who already has a rescue African grey and a number of other rescue birds.

He was a pleasure to have in the house while we were finding him a forever home, he loved a tickle and a fuss and playing about like the young baby he is, Joey is 1 year old on the 14th December so i am really pleased he is in his loving forever home before his birthday so he can be spoilt rotten! (Which he will be!)

I took him over to his new home on Friday and he was loving travelling as my co pilot and watching all the traffic going by.

When we got there and showed Joey his new home we opened the travel cage and he stepped straight up on to Wendy’s hand and walked up her arm put his head down for a tickle and that was it love at first sight by both!!

He had a little fly around the room and landing on his new cage and head straight down for more tickles must have been there for about 10 mins just watching so nice to see he loved Wendy his new mummy. Here are a few photos and I now hand over the blog to Wendy to tell you all about how Joey is getting on … another happy ending for another grey ..yay!

Meet Coco – AGPC’s Rehome

Meet Coco - AGPC's Rehome

3 weeks ago a trip was made to go and Pick up a 18yr old female grey named Coco, Coco is a plucker and has been for years, the owners decided it was in her interest to rehome her as they didn`t feel they have the time she deserves and felt this is unfair.

As we bundled her into the travel cage the owner got quite upset and im not ashamed to say i had tears too, they clearly love her very much.
.
She travelled very well, chirping and chattering under her breath as we drove home she seems to have settled really well and really taken to Karl and our eldest son,

She is enjoyin the shredding toys im givin her and doesnt seem too fussy in what she is given to eat, and even took to the new cage without a fuss she is full of character and always has a noise to match the situation, she loves to dance and despite bein able to fly really well she prefers to have a wander around the floor, she is such a delight and even joins in when we laugh at her.

Anyway here are couple pics
